Access and Emergency Services
Emergency Services is for adults, adolescents, or children experiencing a behavioral health crisis. Emergency Services can be reached by calling the 24 Hour Crisis Toll Free Hotline, 1-855-222-2046. Callers can expect to:
speak directly with a clinician regarding any behavioral health crisis;
receive crisis phone intervention and develop least restrictive plans for follow up which could include a combination of crisis phone interventions, face to face Emergency Services evaluations, referrals to additional RACS and/or other community referrals for crisis stabilization.
ACCESS serves as the point of entry for all non-emergency services at RACS for residents of Rockbridge and Bath counties, Lexington and Buena Vista. By calling ACCESS (463-3141 or 839-3162 in the Bath County area), individuals can obtain information regarding services we provide as well as information regarding how to access an intake appointment concerning mental health, developmental services, or substance use concerns.
Or you may walk into the Lexington office at the designated times below on our open access schedule. Clients who walk in for an intake to services will meet briefly with our front office staff for registration and then meet with an ACCESS clinician for an agency intake. Walk ins will be seen on a “first come first serve basis”.
