Director of Clinic Services

Rockbridge Area Community Services, which serves 2 counties (Rockbridge & Bath) and 2 cities (Lexington & Buena Vista) in the beautiful & historic Shenandoah Valley, seeks applicants for a Director of Clinic Services (hereinafter the Director). The Director is responsible for the overall management of the Clinic Services Unit. The incumbent directly manages the following services: Emergency Services, Access and Outpatient Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, Psychiatric Services, Clinic/Front Office staff and provides oversight for RACS Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) members and the CIT Assessment Site.

 

The Director reports to and receives general supervision from the Executive Director. The incumbent is responsible for providing administrative and clinical supervision to an administrative assistant, the manager of Emergency Services, Outpatient Services, Psychiatric Services, and the CIT program - to include a coordinator(s) and the assessment site.  The incumbent oversees day-to-day operations of the programs assigned, develops clinical and prevention programs as needed, manages program expenditures, and provides direct mental health and substance abuse services within all clinical programs as needed and appropriate. The incumbent remains informed of new and available resources related to programs overseen by the position.  The Director serves on the Leadership Team.

 

In carrying out assigned position responsibilities the Director is required to exercise sound judgment, work cooperatively (with agency staff, agency partners and community partners), rely on experience and judgment to devise procedures and methods, participate in formulating and carrying out policies, objectives, and programs; demonstrate initiative, flexibility and problem solving skills; be able to work both independently and as a team member, be objective and de-escalate high intensity situations and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

The incumbent must possess:

  • A license as a LPC, LCP, or LCSW in Virginia

  • Graduate Degree in a related human services field from an accredited college or university

  • Five years’ experience in program administration

  • A valid Virginia Driver’s license

Developmental Disability Support Coordinator (Case Management)

DUTIES:

Responsible for providing ongoing DD Support Coordination to adults and children within the catchment area of Rockbridge Area Community Services. Services include, but are not limited to: monitoring services, referrals to other agencies/services, assessments and the completions of required documentation; knowledge of treatment modalities and intervention techniques, such as behavior management, independent living skills training, supportive counseling, family education, crisis intervention, discharge planning and service coordination; abilities to work as a team member, maintain effective inter-and intra-agency working relationships, work independently performing position duties under general supervision, engage and sustain ongoing relationships with individuals receiving services; skills in identifying and documenting how resources, services and natural supports such as family can be utilized to promote achievement of an individual’s personal habilitative/rehabilitative and life goals.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in the human services field. At least one-year work experience working with individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities is preferred. Valid driver’s license and safe driving record in accordance with RACS policy are required.

Residential Support Staff

RACS is currently seeking a motivated, qualified individual to work in one of our area residential group homes located in Rockbridge and Bath Counties.  RACS will provide training, supervision and education opportunities specific to the position.

DUTIES: 

Requires direct care assistance to individuals in group home settings serving adults with developmental disabilities. Essential functions of the position include providing supervision/assistance/training in daily living skills; requires assistance with recreational opportunities, daily documentation, administration/monitoring of medications, light housekeeping and the use of a personal computer.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school graduate plus a minimum of one year documented paid experience in the Human Services field required. Associate degree in the Human Services field is preferred. Excellent communication, computer, documentation, and organizational skills.  Must be energetic, positive, enthusiastic and able to solve routine problems and adapt well to change; must possess a valid Virginia driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record per RACS policy.

Residential Support Staff, Part-Time
(Less than 29 hours per week)

Reimbursement Technician
Full-Time w/ excellent benefits

DUTIES:

Utilize an electronic health record system to perform the patient billing process. Submit and monitor electronic and manual billing to Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party insurers. Analyze explanation of benefits (EOB’s) to ensure receipt of payment due and initiate appeals and resubmission of billing as applicable. Perform collection work on client and third-party accounts. Perform general office administration duties.   

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates Degree in business or accounting and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in healthcare reimbursement.  Experience with collections a plus.  Must have good organizational skills and ability to prioritize duties in a busy environment.  General computer and data entry skills are a must including the use of Microsoft Office Suite. 

Financial Technician

DUTIES: 

The Financial Technician provides support to all programs of the Rockbridge Area Community Services Board in the area of accounts payable, accounts receivable receipts entry, and fixed assets. The Financial Technician works under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer. In carrying out assigned position responsibilities, the employee is required to exercise sound judgment, demonstrate initiative, maintain a high degree of confidentiality, and maintain a high level of accuracy in assigned work.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

The Financial Technician must possess the following formal education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities; an Associate Degree in business; a related field or equitable field experience is required. Three years’ experience in a business office position, with preference for a health care or government environment. Knowledge of automated accounting practices; written and oral communication; record keeping methods; purchasing, procurement, and payables practices; cash receipt practices and decision-making processes. Skills in spreadsheet applications; data entry and word processing; report preparation; financial reconciliation and prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines. Ability to work effectively with all levels and types of persons, both internal and external to RACS; exercise sound judgment; maintain confidentiality; communicate effectively in writing and orally; enter data accurately and accept and utilize supervision.

Child/Adolescent Mental Health Case Manager

Responsible for providing case management services to seriously emotionally disturbed children and their families residing in the catchment area of Rockbridge Area Community Services.  Case management services to be provided include needs assessment, linking to services, monitoring services, client and family education, advocacy and outreach.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor’s degree in a human service-related field plus one year of clinical mental health experience. QMHP-C preferred. 

Must possess a valid Virginia driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record in accordance with RACS policy.

Substance Use Case Manager

DUTIES:

Providing substance use case management services to substance using persons and their families residing in the catchment area of the Rockbridge Area Community Services Board.  Substance use case management services to be provided include the Suboxone recipients, needs assessment, linking to services, monitoring services, client and family education, advocacy and outreach, and providing substance use groups and some individual services at the Rockbridge Regional jail.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a bachelor’s degree either in social work, psychology, psychiatric rehabilitation, sociology, counseling, vocational rehabilitation, or human services counseling. Requires at least one of the following: 1) one year of substance use related direct experience providing services to individuals with a diagnosis of substance use disorder; or 2) a minimum of one year of clinical experience working with individuals with co-occurring diagnoses of substance use disorder and mental illness; or 3) be a Board Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) in Virginia.
