Fringe Benefit Package: Full Time Employees
RACS recognizes that employees have diverse needs for time off from work. RACS provides a flexible approach for employees to take time off by combining all time off needs, including vacation, illness, and personal time into one plan called Combined Time Off (CTO).
Employees with less than 5 years of employment accrue CTO at a rate of 16 hours per month.
Employees with 5 to 10 years of employment accrue CTO at a rate of 18 hours per month.
Employees with 10-20 years of employment accrue CTO at a rate of 20 hours per month.
Employees with more than 20 years of employment accrue CTO at a rate of 22 hours per month.
In addition to CTO, RACS provides 8 paid holidays per year.
Staff Development/Education Time:
Needed training is provided to the employee. In most situations, additional training is encouraged and supplemented by RACS.
Comprehensive health insurance package includes hospitalization and major medical benefits, and dental plan.
Currently, the Board pays 90% of the cost of the employee premium. For family premiums, currently the Board pays 40% of the cost of the family coverage.
Short-term disability coverage provided to full-time staff of the Board.
Retirement and Life Insurance:
Full-time employees of Rockbridge Area Community Services (RACS) are responsible for contributing 5% of the employee’s annual salary. RACS will also contribute the amount required by VRS as the employer’s share. The life insurance benefits are twice your annual salary to the nearest $1,000. The premium is paid by contributions from the employee and Rockbridge Area Community Services, with the rates set annually by VRS.
Worker’s compensation, bonding and liability insurance premiums are paid in full by Rockbridge Area Community Services.
