Description of Program Services
Social Program: In recognition of the relationship between social interaction and mental health, Eagle’s Nest Clubhouse offers daily opportunities for social contact. A social activity occurs on some Saturdays and evenings as planned.
Support: Eagle’s Nest Clubhouse offers members an important support system. A person in recovery can best understand and help another recovering person. This proves to be beneficial for both.
Advocacy: Eagle’s Nest Clubhouse staff help members to obtain basic services in the community. Mental Health Case Management Services and Transportation Services of the agency are also housed at the Eagle's Nest Clubhouse.
Education: Through afternoon programs opportunities are available for members to extend their knowledge in the areas of mental and physical health. |

Specialized Programs
Work Units: The essential tasks for the daily operations of the clubhouse are divided among three work units: Kitchen, Business and Environmental. Units are based on the principle of the work-ordered day. Each day the Kitchen Unit prepares lunch for all members and staff of Eagle’s Nest. The Business Unit members answer the phone, write articles for the publishing of the monthly Clubhouse and agency newsletters and maintain accurate daily attendance records. Members of the Environmental Unit keep the Clubhouse in top condition through daily cleaning and maintenance. Contributing to the duties of their units allows members to improve their work skills and adjust to the work environment in a supportive setting. |
