ROCKBRIDGE AREA COMMUNITY SERVICES BOARD
FRINGE BENEFIT PACKAGE
CLASSIFIED, FULL TIME EMPLOYEES

Paid Leave:

  • 13.5 hours per month Annual Leave accrual = 20+ paid days per year for employees with less than 5 years of employment.
  • Employees with 5 to 10 years of employment accrue Annual Leave at a rate of 15.5 hours per month = 24+ paid days per year
  • Employees with more than 10 years of employment accrue Annual Leave at a rate of 17.5 hours per month = 28 paid days per year
  • 4 hours per month Sick Leave accrual = 6 paid days per year
  • 8 paid holidays per year

Staff Development/Education Time:

Needed training is provided to the employee. In most situations, additional training is encouraged and supplemented by RACS.

Insurance:

Comprehensive health insurance package includes hospitalization and major medical benefits, and dental plan.

Currently, the Board pays 90% of the cost of the employee premium. For family premiums, currently the Board pays 50% of the cost of the family coverage.

Short term disability after 6 month provisional period is successfully completed.

Retirement and Life Insurance:

Full time salaried employees are required to participate in the Virginia Retirement System and Group Life Insurance plan. The Board contributes 5% of the employee's salary to the retirement system plus an additional amount set annually by the VRS system. The Life Insurance benefits are twice the employee's annual salary to the nearest $1,000.

Workman's compensation, bonding and professional liability insurance premiums are paid in full by the Board.
