Rockbridge Area Community Services seeks applicants for:

Position #JJ15 - Residential Support Staff - (Two Positions)

Salary: up to $23K DOQ

Full-time w/excellent benefits

 

RACS is currently seeking motivated, qualified individuals to work in one of our area residential group homes located in Rockbridge and Bath Counties.  RACS will provide training, supervision and education opportunities specific to the position.

DUTIES: Requires direct care assistance to individuals in group home settings serving adults with intellectual disabilities. Essential functions of the position include providing supervision/assistance/training in daily living skills; requires assistance with recreational opportunities, daily documentation, administration/monitoring of medications, light housekeeping and the use of a personal computer.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum one year experience with adults with intellectual disabilities; strong computer and organizational skills are preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required; must be willing to work weekend and holiday hours; must be physically able to assist adults and lift up to 50 lbs. Requires current/valid Virginia Driver’s License and must maintain a safe driving record per RACS Policy.

Position #CE11 - Employment Job Coach - Afternoon/Evening

DUTIES:  Responsible for structured employment training programs at various work sites and initiate specific skill training to participants; coordinate/provide transportation services when necessary; responsible for documentation including treatment plans, progress notes and timecard entry.

QUALIFICATIONS:  High School Diploma or equivalent and two years’ experience in a human services field; must be to work independently with normal supervision; exercise sound judgment; possess excellent skills in problem solving/motivational techniques; must be able to work collaboratively with other team members and observe professional standards of confidentiality; position requires some flexibility in work scheduling; must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record per RACS policy.

Position #JY03 - Emergency Services Clinician

Full-time w/excellent benefits

 

DUTIES:  Provide mental health and substance abuse emergency services for clients of all ages; complete pre-admission screenings, facilitate hospital admissions and discharges; provide out-patient assessments, crisis intervention, and crisis case management services when needed; provide motivational therapy or DBT modalities to clients in crisis (individually or group), attend commitment hearings and assist with MOT clients.

QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree in human services related field, mental health and/or substance abuse experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience including BSN RN’s with Psychiatric Nursing experience in outpatient or inpatient settings.  Extensive knowledge of the DSM, mental health and substance abuse assessments, treatment, crisis assessment and intervention strategies for clients of all ages; must be certified or eligible to be certified as a pre-screener by the CSB and Virginia DBHDS.                                      

Position #CE09 - Employment Consultant/Job Coach/Employment Case Manager – MH, ID & Physical Disabilities - Full-Time

 

DUTIES:  Provide assessment, job development, placement and training and follow-along services to people with disabilities in the Supported Employment program; maintain accurate and complete documentation of all activities in service; actively market supported employment services to employers in the local area; responsible for participation in the planning, development and implementation of the Supported Employment Program. 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a human services field or a related area; requires the ability to function independently with normal supervision; exercise sound judgment; possess excellent skills in problem solving, and motivational techniques; must be able to work well in collaboration with other team members and observe professional standards of confidentiality; requires flexibility in work schedule, which includes night/evening hours; must possess a valid Driver’s License and maintain a safe driving record per RACS Policy.

Regional Position

Health Planning Region I

Position: Director, HPR I Regional Initiatives


Position responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of regional initiatives for Community Services Boards, State Hospitals/Training Centers, private providers and the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services in Virginia’s Health Planning Region I. Responsible for regional programming in collaboration with CSB, State Hospital, Department and private hospital leadership. Position oversees utilization management, discharge assistance programs, liaison with consumer and peer organizations, ID Crisis services and works within a defined regional budget for specific activities. Requires through knowledge of systems of care for children and adults with mental illness, intellectual disability or substance use disorders. Technical competencies required in proposal/report writing, meeting facilitation, and the use of technology, spreadsheets and database systems.


Master’s Degree in the Behavioral Sciences or Healthcare Administration with extensive professional work experience related to behavioral health required. Salary and benefits negotiable based on education / experience.


Position reports to the HPR I Executive Director Forum and requires travel through-out the HPR I service area and occasionally other parts of Virginia. Position office location is negotiable within the HPR I service area. Position will become an employee of the host CSB.
